Finally a calm day on Erie. Happy to see a lot of fishermen out today with this beautiful weather. The ramp was busy but moved along quite nicely. Most fall patterns we’re working. The big one did get away which was mostly my fault but all in all a perfect day jigging a rod and trying to net fish 😂

A great day to spend time on the water with a good friend

so many layers of clothes came off as the day went on and I was sweating when we did the double

we lost quite a few, but who cares in the end as it was a perfect day

Wow, so many healthy looking fish. I could not believe how many boats are still not winterized The weather was just great yesterday.

Those are some beauties!!

I was going to go back out this morning, but after taking a tumble on the ramp from being rushed I had too much back pain to launch and recover the boat on my own. I'll be back, probably in the early summer....may have to replace one of my regular trips with this place!!

I hear you.....we got rushed as well, but we still just did it all in good time...just have to be patient down there on a Sunday and with stellar weather.

shoot me a pm in the spring and I can let you know whether it's worth the drive or not cause as you know know, lots of blow off days can happen

btw, we were supposed to go out again on the river, but also blew out our backs

I will definitely do that.

My problem started by parking in that first slot (handicap) and not taking any time to go from the boat to the truck and backing right down to the ramp. There were two boats being held on the left side where my boat was tied up on the outside of that pier. I couldn't back down because the first boat was too close and the owner showed up and backed up to my front bumper yelling that he was there first (duh!). I just sat there until his buddy pulled that boat back so I could back in. Instead of walking to the end of the ramp to get onto the pier, I tried to "climb" up earlier and fell backward onto my tailbone. No harm done except for soreness, but I was a bit miffed. Oh well. I'll know better next time!
At least he did stop on the way out to ask if I was ok.

Fortunately you did not injure yourself too badly...

It was super busy there yesterday and I generally try and avoid the weekend crowds, but that was a 1 in 100 day weather event so we got out as well....I have learned patience in the ramps in the last decade or so...not worth getting ansy when you encounter strange behaviour and it sorts itself out in a few minutes normally.

pretty much seen it all there and other locations
