I enjoy targetting largies more. However I prefer the fight of a smallmouth over largies.

Which ever type happens to be biting on the particular day.

Would be very happy to be able to fish for either right now.

Either one is fine by me. I'm not particular! In fact, next week I'll be at a lake near Kingston where they are both in abundance, although in different parts of the lake. I'll be visiting both areas regularly!!

Largies only because I think my favorite thing in the world is seeing a frog get slurped down under a mat. Could be 3 pounds could be 7 pounds. Sometimes in the net you can't even tell how big they are.

I prefer Smallies because of the fight and the rivers near my home in PA you can catch 25 -40 in a day

This is exactly how I feel about them. I love to target largies but nothing can beat the fight of the smallmouth!

If I catch a smallie I can honestly say that fish is REALLY, REALLY lost.

Largies all the way for me.... Although this year is the first year that I will have a spinning rod on the deck outfitted with a ned rig.

I'm surprised at how dominant the vote is for smallies. Maybe once a few of you have a couple experiences going for finicky ones that won't bite a couple times will change your mind LOL I demand a revote in the summer
