I have been really busy lately with both work and recreation as summer is going fast and it’s already mid July.

The stony trip was great. The lake is gorgeous and the fishing was good. Caught lots of bass (LM) on top waters and senkos in shallow weeds and took kids fishing a few times.

The top water bite was average but it was so much fun catching bass on top waters so we preferred this to other fishing techniques. Even caught a few perch and blue gills on poppers.

Everyone had a good time and were even able to do some hiking in the area and other activities

Also spent a few days camping in Sandbanks park and fish West lake for bass from shore. The bite was average but caught a few nice ones in 3-4 lb range (friends also caught a few walleyes after sunset ). Caught most of bass on whopper ploppers and poppers as the shoreline was very weedy with weeds going all the way to the surface. But also on some shallow running jerks.

Looked for mushrooms during the hikes in the woods but it was too dry.
Managed to find a few chanties....
