Hi Everyone,

I have had a cottage near blue water for 30 years and only now starting to look into fishing georgian bay.

Could some of you help with the best times of year and tactics to hit these areas? I have a smaller boat with downrigger and plannerboards.

PM if you prefer.

Thanks.

That area can be hit or miss, You just have to try. Great area in spring and right now fish should be staging along these shorelines. Have had good success for rainbows too. Not a lot of structure until Christian area.

Thanks Krawler.

I was wondering what time of year Christian area would be better. My thinking is in the spring and fall hit balm beach area (and maybe wasaga?) and summer Christian island area.

Wasaga for sure. Not a lot of structure at either location. The fact that the notty is there, you will want to target the mouth and adjacent deep water.
