Took mine out for the first time yesterday, super clear image, easy to set up. One thing I would recommend is a tripod of some sort in order to control the camera wire and look around, I found it to be quite difficult to control it. In terms of battery life, I was only out on the water for six hours and it was on the entire time, battery didn't die, not sure if there is a way for me to check its current status though.
The camera pops out of the case easily, i pocket the battery and walk around with the camera and spool of wire in hand looking for spots. It was a little messy with the amount of wires so I'm going to zip tie and try to make it a bit cleaner before heading out next time.

Tested today (for clarity) in about 3 feet of water. Lake Ontario.
Picture is very unstable as I had it on the end of my rod about 7 feet offshore.
Clear as a bell for the green a## water I was near.
Will hopefully be using it ice fishing on the Nip on the 28th if they dont extend any lockdowns.

Love mine, great little units. I would definitely agree/ reccomend either buying or DIYing a tripod holder or rig that allows controlled rotation of the cam.

Bought a 7" model 2 years ago. Great on Simcoe, not so great on Nipissing. Could only see about 2 feet in any direction. Also you might want to secure the cord somehow, or it will spin in place.
