Actually if you ever saw the federal map of the soundings of Lake Nipissing you would be amazed at the detail. It was all in numerals, lots and lots of numerals, and without the bathymetric connect the dots appearance that MNR maps have. What is sold today is nothing like the original map. That being said I never saw such a shoal on the old map or it would have been fished in the old walleye tournament days.
