hey all, I'm coming up from Hamilton to Kawartha propellor Friday to hopefully find a new prop for my boat. I would love to be able to do some fishing while I am up there. I know pike are open but also know there aren't many/ if any pike in buckhorn. so my question is are there any other lakes close by with a targetable species of pike? I have heard Balsom may be decent but have never been.

thanks -nick

Look down the main page a bit, I posted a Balsam spring fishing crappie and pike note. There is some great advice and pictures and even a video on there from some of us on the forum. We fish Balsam. I like the way so many people contribute to the posts on here. If a person read all the posts that have ever been posted, they might learn a thing or two....... or two million. Don't forget to read the restrictions for Balsam lake.

No pike are in buckhorn or any of the "tri-lakes" (Chemong, pigeon, buckhorn).

Good advice, CM.
Plenty of pike to fish for in Balsam, Mitchell and Canal lakes
