Just got back to Southern Ontario for our annual first ice trip. Stayed with lake nipissing ice fishing charters as always (over 12 years now). Service was fantastic as usual. Ice was a little wet Jan 1 and 2nd but great ice 10 - 12”. Fishing was decent in the bungalows but we hit one of our favourite walking spots close by and weren’t disappointed: Day 1: 125 walleye, 1 Ling, 4 Cisco, 2 perch Day 2: 80 walleye, 5 pike, 2 Cisco, 2 perch Day 3: 60 walleye, 1 pike, 1 Cisco, 3 perch
Definitely no complaints from the 4 of us. Only 5 keeper size in the bunch but tons in the 17” range.
Lots of crazy people driving trucks on the ice out there. Insane!!!
Thanks Derrick and Diane young for another great year. Will be back before March break.

There were 4 of us. We had to work hard to stay on them with lots of lure changes. Bite changed hourly so had to adapt. Smaller seemed to work best but still lots of active hits on rattle baits and jigging raps.
Was a little surprised we didn’t see more perch. 24 - 27 fow seemed to be the key both day and evening. Fished just off steep shoals
