We just got back from the cottage and had 4 days of seeing bugs, but not biting.. That changed on Thursday evening and by Friday they were feasting just as we were heading home I will put up a report on fishing and stuff later

Longshank, I hired them to keep you outta my spots 🙃 They were getting a bit ripe in Algonquin today too.

Black flies were terrible here also could not get away from them.

I think all three of us are fairly close together. The flies were biting today and the needle- faced ones are also showing up.

I was in the Kinmount area Saturday and the black flies were ferocious.

black flies are normal for this time of year, it's the mosquitoes that are above normal in cottage country
