It's that time of year.. Filled up the feeders and watched the birds..
My other hobby besides fishing, almost as much fun and interesting.
Some pics of my visitors.

FYI I live in the city so I don't get many exotics like in the country.

Yup Rover is the best! My cats chase them too, but never caught any.. Glad for that, don't need fleas... Hate the squirrels.... They scare the birds.

they never leave at least at my house wrecked 3 humming bird feeders this year took it down now i am going to glue broken glass to the pole there is a block of suet up there so bayliner if you see one well you know what to do

Put a tablespoon of chilli powder in with a cup of bird seed, shake and mix well.

The squirrels will still eat the seeds, but won't sit there all day gorging/hogging the bird feeder. They eat some and then leave. The chilli powder has no effect on the birds, they can't taste it.

Go to bulk barn and buy a few scoops cheap.

I have two cats, and they at back yard every so often (like once a week or every other week) would kill a bird and/or a rabbit. Some of those birds killed are in fact quite big. To this day it just still amazes me how a non-flying cat would be able to catch bird after bird...:-)
