Went out for what will likely be my last day on simcoe until ice season.

Nothing. No bites. Nada.

I hit Long Shoal, Ninth line shoal, rock piles around Snake Island and back through Cooks before the wind started picking up.

I'm sure I had decent locations. Lots of other anglers were arou d especially around Snake.

I used lipless cranks, and a merch bait in perch and a 3 inch paddle tail.

I have no idea what the deal is.

Anybody else have any luck?!

Try drop shot rig set up.... Gulp minnows or leeches .

Use a Polamar knot with this set up so your hook is always facing up and out. Another way is Split shot half foot up on the line and then your hook . I prefer this set up more....I find it has a better presentation on the drop . Also keep in mind the depths ,if its deep might want heavier weights. Shallow go lighter ...
Braid use a flouro leader. Mono straight 6 works as well . Lighter clearer the line .... the better .

Thanks for the advice. I'm at Lake of Bays next week for a few days. I'll give this a shot.

I fished the west side of simcoe. Looks like they are hitting on the east side. Could be water temp. It was still 60 degrees yesterday.
