Happy holidays all! On our outing on Lake Ontario we caught this giant wiper. Does anyone know how they got in here? Very weird.

There has been a big resurgence of strippers on the northern east coast. Place like the newfoundland, Labrador, Bay de chaleur and the Gaspé area and up the st Lawrence have all had a new stripper fishery emerge. I am from the gaspe and started getting them about 10years ago. They would run into fresh water to feed daily so the factor that they are in fresh water is not an issue for them. They are very aggressive and I would go blue/silver cleo burned across the surface. That's how I discovered them down east by watching fish blow up on bait. I had 5yr old kids catching them by reeling as fast as possible.
They have become very popular and the hard core altlantic salmon guys flock to the estuary to fish them on the fly.
I suspect that these guys made all the way up the st Lawrence.

Thank u thanks u!!! So happy you noticed my effort. I’m slowly getting a better eye. But still so many mistakes. Lol. But I’m loving the challenge. And I’m happy I’m learning a new skill that I could’ve never dreamed of ever being able to do. Sometimes you just gotta go in blindly and send er anyway lol. Always forward 👉just like fishing!

👊👊👊👊👊🙏.... thanks bro. Having a heck of time editing my next vid on BOQ. Too many camera angles. Lol. I might just give it a rest lol. Hopefully I get on some fish through the ice this week... I think it will be way easier to edit. 😂
