I have no idea about GBay Musky but I do fish Musky.

Recently I was on a smaller lake that I do fish late fall for them. I was bass fishing the lake and usually have incidental catches of Musky. I didn’t even see one and I think the water was too warm for them to be active. Need those cold fall days for o get them going IMO.
This could mean nothing for GBay fish of course.

Hey 300, when I was out last week big swing in surface temp from mid/low 60s to over 70. I imagine it’s still rising but the cool nights may help keep things out of the danger zone.

Two weeks ago we were just putzing around in the islands north of 12 Mile Bay. Dragging a Rapalla so I could claim it as fishing-time. Hooked a scary big (for me) musky. We chose not to boat it and released it at the side of the boat so no pics. It was over 36" and it did not offer any complaints about water temperature, but I am sure the water up there is pretty cool down deep, even at this time of year.

My son caught a muskie 2 weeks ago in the Trent Severn River system near Lindsay.
Leaves are changing color, and they should be strapping on the feed bag now!?

At Honey Harbour, the water temp was 72.5C, way too high for active Muskie, in my opinion. Not to worry, I'm bettin your hands will be freezing soon looking for active Muskie.

Cheers,
