Is there a launch at fifes bay. I usually go to the cause way
There is a launch in Fifes Bay at the very north end of Tindle Bay Road.
Was out at the Islands yesterday. Again lots of people out there but no issues. Ice is still building and I’d say we are around 9 inches of good solid ice. Lots of huts out now and four wheelers are very common.
Can’t speak for everyone but so far the crappie are MIA. Haven’t talked to anyone yet who has caught even one of them. Lots of perch and other bait fish around but the crappie are a mystery at this point. I’ll likely stop fishing there for a few weeks until someone starts hauling them in or finds where they went to.
Still highly recommend ice grippers or you’re gonna have a bad time. The snow we are getting today may change that a bit though.
The bait shop on Chemong at the Causeway is only open on weekends so stick up on minnows when you can if you’re fishing during the week. The next alternative would be the bait shop in Lindsay.

Out again today. The rain has done zilch to the ice thickness. Around 10 inches of good solid ice. The good part about the rain, sleet, and snow was that the surface of the ice is coated and you don't need any grippers to walk around.
Just fished the afternoon. Some dinks and an almost eatable sunfish. Had an Aquaview down the whole and wasn't seeing a whole lot other than some dink's chasing my bait around.
Just a word of caution the shorelines are crappy and flooded in some areas, wear rubber boots or waterproof footwear.

Was out yesterday. Solid 10” of good ice everywhere we went. Lots of sleds and atv’s. Landed a few perch. One really nice one. Along with an accidental 34” Muskie. Great fight on 2lb test and a tickle stick. One quick pic and back in the water. She swam away fine after only about 10 seconds of revival. Tight lines everyone.

Was out from Fife's Bay on Monday this week and did not land a fish. Fished in 16 down to about 6 FOW and had a few bites in the 12 ft range but no hook ups. Noticed most of the huts were shallower or at least tighter to shore in that area.

Finally made it out. North end by Harrington’s Narrows, east side of the lake. Found 6-7FOW. Caught 2 bass and 10 perch. Not bad. Saw a small town of huts just south of rotary park.

I was out Sunday. I’d say 10” where I was. Like others have said no crappie but got into quite a few keeper bluegill which was what I was hoping for anyways! Kept a dozen caught about 40 I’d say. Most on the smaller side

Went out yesterday. Beauty day on the ice and some good fishing as well.
Drove my truck out after seeing another one parked right by where I like to fish. Just short of two feet of good solid ice from shore to the islands.
My dad couldn't keep 2-3lbs bass off his line (thrown back of course) and we caught our fair share of dink perch. Pulled in a sunfish, some rock bass, and finally caught a keeper crappie just before dark. Saw it on my Aquaview just before it hit.
Beware if you drive out that the slush has frozen solid and will test out the suspension on your vehicle.
