Hi everyone Heading up to Callander Bay Tuesday and was wondering if it is walk out only on the bay or is the ice solid enough for a snowmobile. Don’t mind the walk, just don’t want to tow the machine up if it’s not safe. Thanks for any info.

Noticed one SUV and 3 full size trucks venture out on the ice yesterday in C.Bay but staying to the inside of the hut ring I think. Note: seems to be slush still around especially part way out from shore a good line of it before the hut ring. Can’t say I’ve measured the ice lately but slush was pretty bad a few days ago around hut which has improved a bit now however I haven’t had re-drill holes for some time now.

I haven’t measured recently but my hut holes started freezing over nicely yesterday and I didn’t notice any slush anymore. So things are getting better!!!
