He's on the east side and he knows that spot really well. He also stated he was only 100 ft or so from shore, with sketchy ice visible from his spot. Its not that there's no ice, just with the snow it will be difficult to know if you are standing on good ice or not. The last week the overnight temps have barely hit -5, with daytime temps hovering around 5. A week of -10s will do wonders for ice making, even with the snow. it's getting closer, so I'll wait. At least I can't spend as much money with everything online only. Going to re0check my stuff again, for the fourth or fifth time.

I checked the Port Perry boast launch this morning. Surprisingly, there's about 4 inches of good ice right there, but its is only a few feet deep. It should be ready by Friday if it stays cold enough. Still, I would check along the way, in case you hit a pocket. No one out there yet, except for some skaters at the marina.

Just curious dont need to know your spots im on the east side and thinking of venturing out from the nonquon area and wondering if you have punched any holes on that side of the lake as I heard ceasarea has been busy ? Cheers
