I’m from Goderich and I have an Ice Fishing week booked at a lodge west of Timmins. We are in orange COVID and I was wondering if anyone knew if it was okay to travel through North Bay to get to the lodge I’m heading to. Don’t want to go if there’s a chance I could end up getting stopped , fined and sent home. Just wondering if anyone from the North Bay Area would know.

Do your own research on the net, lots of info out there and use your best judgment. If still unsure phone your operator/lodge they will advise you.

No issue you are allowed to travel. As long as you follow the rules along the way and at your destination all good.

We’re in LOCKDOWN still but you can drive through with no problem. Take out only at restaurants, gas station will still sell you gas etc.
Have fun up north. Post your pics.

Thanks for the replies. The North Bay health unit had a call in number for today between 10 and 3 but when I called all I got was a recording. Said leave a message and they will get back to me. We’ve had few Covid issues down here and I only plan to stop for gas. Was going to cancel but I feel sorry for the lodge owner as he had hardly anyone all summer and there is only 2 of us at the lodge next week. Don’t know how some of them are going to survive.
Thanks again.
