Hey all, I figured I'd post an update on the weekend.

We had our 7th year at South River Resort this year. Steve was great and helpful as always.

Friday was really hot fishing. Hit about 20-25 fish for the afternoon/dusk bite. Landed 10 nice walleye, 2 were barely under legal, no keepers. Saturday morning was also great, landed lots of walleye, a nice ling, nice pike and a couple cisco/perch. Sunday was quiet. We didn't seem to have any action after dark.

The fish were aggressive. If we marked a fish, more often then not they were hitting. Buckshots were working best. Active jigging was more productive than the dead sticks.

All and all, a great time as always. Thanks to Steve and SRR.

Best of luck on all the upcoming trips.

Tight lines

Great update, thank you! Any particular colour buckshot more productive than another? Were they tipped?

Sounds like a great time! We're headed up to SSIC this Friday, counting down the days...

They were tipped with a minnow head. Chartreuse and perch colour were most effective. Good luck
