For fun I decided to interview North Bay bait shop operator, Trapper Joe. I've never interviewed anyone before so I figured I would give it a shot. I am going to try to interview a few of the bait guys in town if they are down. I was not paid for this interview and it was just for general interest and to support local business. Enjoy! I watched this when it was first posted. First of all, nice job in arranging the questions to allow Trader Joe to talk (he seems to be a bit camera shy). You covered a fair bit of ground, and brought some interesting points, particularly about live bait versus plastics. Plastic is not environmentally friendly, yet many people are only using plastics, impacting people like Trader Joe to operate their business and who knows what impact this will have as fish and other marine life digest lost baits in big numbers. It's getting harder and harder to find live bait suppliers, other than worms and maybe leeches. I'm in north GTA, and I know of four baits shops that have closed in the past three years, with one more barely hanging on. I always support the local shops as opposed to the chains where possible, and as a fisherman, I spend way too much money on stuff I don't really need, but it's cool, and becomes a must have. I have never fished Lake Nipissing, but I go up there a few time a year (North Bay relatives).
