Was strolling thru the reg's for the Nottawasaga river and noticed the part about sanctuaries:

No fishing - January 1 to Friday before the second Saturday in May and October 1 to December 31
Boyne River - Tosorontio Township, from the dam in Earl Rowe Provincial Park downstream (east) to the park boundary

Nottawasaga River - see waterbody exceptions

After drilling down thru all the exceptions, exemptions and additional opportunities the wording makes it appear as anything upstream of hwy89 is closed till the Friday before the 2nd Saturday in May.

However, the interactive map seems to disagree with the wording of the reg's and only indicates sanctuary at the hwy 89/Nicolson dam and in Earl Rowe Park on the Boyne.

Just wondering if anyone can clarify
Thanks
BB

So I reached out to the MNR for clarification on April 26 and received an auto reply that they would get back to me within 15 days!

The question I asked was if the Notty is sanctuary above the Nicholson damn and this is their response, which cleared up absolutely nothing for me:

Thank you for your email.

The Nottawasaga River does have restrictions as listed below, if you require more specific information for this waterbody please contact the Ministry Of Natural Resources and Forestry district office that manages that area. This waterbody is managed by the Midhurst District office and they can be reached at 705-725-7500 (press 0 on their menu)

What wording in the regulations makes it appear like that?
