Checked the ice a few hours ago, almost 3 inches forgot my tape. Somebody else checked before me they went out pretty far considering I was breaking through with my spud.

Barely any ice at Port Perry boat launch. Snow covered, but patches of open water just a few feet from shore. Looks okay from the distance, but definitely not safe to walk on at this time. This was as of about 2pm on Saturday.

Only panfish are open.

Everything else caught must be released immediately.

You can fish for crappie, sunfish and perch.

Only panfish all winter. All other species close all winter long. and walleye is permanently closed.

I just checked the ice at the Port Perry boat launch. I wasn't expecting much due to the warm weather and what I saw the last time. There's now 2-3 inches of ice at the launch, with a very light snow covering. Not good enough for me to walk on yet, but it's getting there. Should be ready soon.

After yesterday's ice at the launch in Port Perry, I thought I'd bring a spud bar and check it this morning. No dice. I couldn't get two feet out. The bar went through on the first hit. Very mushy. Be safe out there. It might still be good on the north end, but not so much at the south.
