Fished 3 days caught well over 100 walleye, 4 bass and 2 small pike. All walleye where 14-17 inches - No keepers. Fish where everywhere mid-lake and shore lines, near drop offs from 10ft - 25feet. Trolling or jigging. The lake has way too many small, stunted walleye. At this rate it will be another 7-8 years until we see an abundance of catch worthy fish.

As Fishchaser says, plenty of bigger fish out here in the main lake basin. 1 in every 10-12 or so fish has been a keepable size for our crew...we've iced a couple for a taste...the rest we've been throwing back. The bass has been good as well...and I've seen two big muskie already feeding on a couple of our walleye reefs...one jumped right out of the water very near our boat this morning...clear view of her...like they often do, she had probably just fed and was helping move her prey down her gullet by slamming her body on the waters surface. Some people mistake these muskie for sturgeon jumping...but when you see enough of them up close they are almost always muskie. Getting close to lunge time on my part of the lake.

Right back at you Fishchaser. Love seeing your fish porn. Fishing certainly is good. I actually like the higher water...for the fishing...been a brute on my shoreline this spring though. I think I have one of the few docks in our bay that isn't either damaged....or gone entirely. Tight lines Jacques

Grumpa we should go fishing together one of these days. I believe we're targeting the same areas although with different approaches. Until my newborn twins grow up I won't be fishing much though .
Same experience in the main basin as well. Much better keeper ratio. Limited out on a couple trips last year, and you often get a mixed bag. Had one trip with walleye, pike, bass, sheephead, and perch within hours.
