Personally, I wouldn't give it a second thought. Go up there and do what you gotta do to catch some fish, that's all you can ask for. Throw everything at them and hope for the best. Bottom line is to have fun, fish are the bonus.
Don't forget to let us know how ya make out.
Cheers, Kerry

I think everyone has to remember that its a huge lake, ice fishing covers...what?...maybe 40% of the lake, not to be an a##, but fish swim, lol...hope they eventually swim your way, good luck

got a nice school of Jumbo's between 1 and 2 pm on a very windy day. They were hitting a small tipped spoon but it had to be aggressively jigged to perk their interest.I think stormy weather helped.

Thanks for all the replies
Do you guys agree that the rapid change in weather we have been having this year is some what affecting the bite ?

I would say yes to that......winds/temps/barometer all over the map

when I was there, we hit a high pressure zone with north winds and picky bite....Next day barometer fell rapidly and it was a hot bite as temps rose with sw winds

I carry a small "fishing barometer" with me always and have noticed a difference

am always happy on ice when it is 101.1 or so for a couple of days.....lots of folks do not buy into this, but 35 years worth of logs/data tell me otherwise....just an opinion though

Fish bite best in low pressure conditions...as in before or during a storm.
