Heading Friday to South River Resort – never fished the area and looking forward to it. Understand it’s not to far from Nipissing. Sorry Pickerel fisherman going to target bass and pike – hopefully all live released.

Has anyone fished that area?

Normally like to use spinner and inline spinner baits that I make and the versatile rapala or other hard body baits

Any suggestions

I've had luck on that river system before with smallies. I've had the most luck with tube jigs, dark colored ones. But also hit them top water, worm and bobber, spinner baits. When throwing tubes I'd look for steep drops on the riverbanks.

Good luck, take some pics.

no problem, we have one of the most confusing set of regs there is!

I will be hunting gators! maybe set aside a morning for bass, lol

throw some big gear for some muskie in the evening? maybe some walleye?

sheesh! so many choices now!!

GAME ON!!
