Hi guys.
I am heading to the waltonian Inn last week of August. I am taking my girlfriend's 13 year old son for some bonding and would love to get him hooked on fishing. he is really excited and want to show him a good time.
Any help I could get on where to start looking for some walleye or pike would be greatly appreciated.
I am a bass guy and pretty well only fish the kawarthas so I am going blind on a big body of water.
Where can I find a good map and or bait shop.
Thanks in advance.

You might want to try Owen Yemm Sr. over in south bay he lives on bear creek rd.

I'm no expert on Nipissing at all but I don't have any trouble catching fish. I usually just troll, bottom bouncing worm harnesses. Most like to jig humps and shoals with drop offs. The one benefit to a guide maybe showing areas and techniques that will produce more and perhaps bigger fish. Seriously though Nipissing is full of fish they are everywhere. Find 20 to 40 feet of water and start catching. Have a GPS handy if you want to explore further from home it, it's a massive Lake. Good Luck

Hi there. We do have a guide that works out of the Waltonian. We also have someone who knows the lake extremely well and would be able to put you on the fish. Please give us a call.
