Went out with my 10 year old and my nephew hoping for some walleye. Gorgeous afternoon and early evening. No walleye but a few of these guys and some decent perch. Never gone two trips without walleye in balsam but also not fishing at night this year. Are others catching daytime walleye on Balsam?

This time of year I will fish in the afternoon. My go to bait is a ten inch zoom worm on a long shank quarter ounce jig head down to just above the weeds. Slow jig up and down...pickeral are going to be getting lazy in the cold water soon...dont set the hook too fast that is quite a big bait. I use it for bass too but further down in the weeds.
