Hello members. Heading to upper French next week in hopes for walleye and Muskie. I’ve read and watched about everything I can find and just looking to do what I can to increase our odds of a successful trip. As the season is changing would it be safe to assume that the big toothy ladies will be out of the depths and now in similar waters as the walleye. I’m thinking to focus on areas that are 10 to 20fow with green weeds and rock mix and access to deeper water. Morning and evening for the walleye and just about any time the Muskies feel hungry for them. I’ve gone before on other systems with ok results but never on the French so any advice or thoughts are helpful. Solunar calendar looks good for when I’m going so I have high hopes. Thanks everyone.

Was up at Lunge Lodge last weekend. Conditions were tough but we managed to land a few pike, biggest was maybe 30 inches. We did see a big musky when fishing a shallow bay but couldn’t get her to bite.
The upper French is an amazing place, I’ll be back next year for sure.
