Board member Miro & his son (my brother and nephew) went out yesterday morning with Caseys. I decided to meet with them just after work. I decided on not bringing the new underwater camera at first,, but quickly changed my mind & turned the car around to get it. (figured my nephew was there so,,, plug'n' play was gonna be easy enough lol.)

Taj had me on the ice fairly quick (thanks Taj !!) 7-8 inches where we were located. 28fow

The day started off with some decent jumbos for them & lots of dinks to fight off.
Once I arrived, the fishing remained steady,,, some decent fish,, but had to work for them once the afternoon hours hit. Slab Grabber worked great !
The camera worked great & we saw tons of fish playing down there.

The day went on just the way I like it,,,, steady action,,,steak sandwiches on the frying pan,, cold beverages & great company. Our first outing of the 2020 season was panning out just fine !! SO i thought lol.

While packing up & with the guys on their way to pick us up, I stepped outside the hut. Doing so,, my rod fell down the hole.......(brand new TKLSTK) ,,,man was I upset
(a 'probananahead' move).

Immediately,,, put another line down the same hole with a large rattle bait and nothin!!

That camera came back out quick & my nephew ends up seeing it a few feet away .....After changing holes & the kid guiding me,,,,,,, I got my rod back

Props to my nephew Joseph for guiding me in the right direction !!!

Am I ever glad I went back to get that camera lol.
Brought home a few perch too!!

Nice read! Those cameras can be a real lifesaver when something goes down the hole.

Thanks for the report. Glad you got your Rod back. We've been able to do the same thing in the past with the camera. We used to keep a heavy magnet in our permanent Hut incase anyone dropped keys and such down the hole. Me and my buddies have a couple Huts rented for two nights with Taj Looking forward to some good times and hopefully some good fishing.

Awesome read! I'm curious what length and power you use with the TKLSTK?

Thanks so much.

I was also out with Taj yesterday... unfortunately missed the memo about the steak sandwiches in your hut. Had a good time though, steady bite and a dozen keepers that look similar to your photo.

Thanks so much.

My go to is the 27', Light action

Not happy with their tips twisting however. Ive got all my rods in individual holders & these ones twist. Not good IMO for the money they fetch.

JMO & glad I got to vent about it.
