Found a few more specks today. It started off cool, and threatening rain with 40% chance most of the morning. We considered not even going, but instead packed extra warm stuff and rain gear, and luckily didnít end up needing it. It took some paddling and portaging, but the brookies we did come across were fairly aggressive. My daughter and I had a double header going at one point, although she ended up losing hers. Had a few other quick strikes, but missed them. I found out itís pretty good entertainment watching a 10yr old try and net a splashing brook trout along side the canoe, with a small packable net that has a really short handle. After several attempts she got it. The couple we kept were around 12Ē and 16Ē. Was 18 degrees and sunny by the time we got back to the vehicle. Beauty day to be out.

I was being made fun of yesterday, because I made an essential trip to find some Panther Martins. Guess what all the fish were caught on?

Looks like you are having a blast out there. Perfect way to forget the virus for a while. And time with a kid like that is absolute gold---consider yourself a rich man!

Nice going Drew, you're off to a fast start. I recently found a little tackle shop that had lots of old stock Panther Martins from when they were made in Italy. I bought many lol.
