We are heading up mid Feb 2021 to Loon Lodge on Temogami - Bungalows . Just wondering if anyone of you have stayed in these Bungalows and how where they?

I've stayed with them once about 6 years ago? Standard bungalows. Nothing fancy, but everything you need. None of the outfitters I have actually stayed with have ever had 'bad' bungalows. Either that, or i have low standards.

If you're used to nice Nipissing bungalows then they are not as good. Smaller and uglier. But standard is just lower on Temagami - for all operators. Scenery is nicer though Also tends to be colder and snowier from my experience.
Don't try to fish with 4 guys in a 4 person It will be super cramped
Other than that the operator is a great guy and knows his stuff. Fishing can be difficult if you don't know what you're doing. Listen to the operator.

Darn good summation
I have found the same......2 guys in a 4 man is plenty, especially if forced to fish inside due to weather
And ye, listen to the operator's advice and you will catch

Its kinda true about being in the bungalow being a bad spot. I'd get to odd laker and whitefish in there, but definitely over 90% of fish caught would be a short walk out either to the day hut or to a shoal.

Loon Lodge has new owner as of this year (August). it's Adam and Kayla Pugh. he has moved all his huts from White lake to Temagami. stayed in his huts last year on White lake and they are awesome huts.

I went with the previous operator and it was a good time but was a bit disappointed with the set up. We were all excited to have a day hut to access as well as the bungalow but it was only 10m away in the same depth of water. We only caught Burbot in the shacks but caught some other fish when we went for a walk. None of the other groups caught any fish.
I have no doubt things will improve fishing wise with Adam running the show, he's a diehard angler and experienced guide.

We’ve been going up with John at Loon Lodge for the last 4 years. The huts are older and have less amenities but honestly that’s how we like it. Nothing like the peaceful hiss of propane lamps.
As for fishing John was able to get us on a lot of good fish. He did set his huts deep with the day huts slightly more shallow. (80-90 fow and 70-80). Most fish came from the day hut. In that deep of water we found small lakers near the bottom and big guys mid or near the ice.
Walleye always required a short hike to a shoal but again good fishing if you followed instructions on where to go.
This year there is a new operator and we are excited to fish with Adam this coming season, We will miss John for sure though.
