To the 2 guys in the deck boat with the optimax that ran a solid few miles out into the middle of the lake to check on us, my hats off to you! Short story, 2 fellas saw sun glinting off our windshield and thought we where signalling and ran way out to the middle from somewhere in the deepwater area just to check on us and see if we where in trouble. That was some stand up sh!t!! If I see you again beer is on me! No we weren’t in any trouble, but it’s the thought that counts! Thanks!

Yes, great to see.
On a similar vein, last week I launched my boat at Nogies Creek, slowly and gently as I had gall bladder surgery 6 days prior/ After fishing I tried to load the boat, but was having some difficulty lining up the boat as the trailer was not sitting level in the water. All I needed was someone to keep the boat on the proper position as I brought it out of the water. After a couple of failed attempts, 2 young guys, who were waiting to load as well, beached their boat and offered to assist. They didn't do much, but what they did was extremely helpful. After offering a sincere thanks, I pulled to boat off to one side to strap it down and snap the cover. I was moving slow but getting it done when the 2 young guys reappeared and offering to complete the strap-down and to snap on the tarp. I was so grateful of their assistance. Two young polite nice guys in their early 30's, taking time to make sure a 70+ guy was going to be OK. I learned two lessons that day 1) there are more good guys than you think, 2) I shouldn't have gone fishing so soon after the surgery.

Cheers,
Also in a similar vein, I was launching at 6:30 am last Monday at Collingwood . I am in my mid 70’s and travel/fish alone - I like the solitude, being on the water, watching the sun rise, taking in the beauty of the open water and the shore. While I was setting to launch another guy was launching, but took the time and trouble to ask if I needed any help, and pointed out some issues with the launch. I really appreciate the consideration he had for me while he had his own boat and party to take care of.
This is not the first time kind people have offered to help. Kudos to the good fishing fraternity.
