Went out in the morning to a shoal we fish in the summer. Caught 3 small ones so we decided to move... and what a good choice it was. 10 - dusk we were getting hits. Caught over 20 walleye, 6 good perch, 12 silver bass, ling, and a mud puppy. Caught 3 keepers. 2 @24 inches and 1 @19 inches. Anyone ever eat silver bass? Kept a couple to try but havenít had a chance to try it yet. Back again in March!

What a day! Good call on moving spots...it paid off nicely. Iíve read too many posts about guys not catching any keepers. Itís good to see theyíre out there.

I take a meal of silver bass every year. Taste good to me, and a lot better than coming home skunked. Friend used them to make fish chowder. As long as they are coming out of cold water anyway. You should see the shore line on the Detroit river when they are running. Shoulder to shoulder. No limits so people take coolers full.
