I've had awful luck with nigh time fishing As in, I can't remember the last time I've caught anything after night fall. Does anyone have any suggestions for night time gear/lures?

Thanks all.

This is my night time fishing technique.

1. Grab an aluminum can out of the cooler and open it.
2. Find a 6 foot long rectangular comfort sack.
3. Insert yourself into the sack and place the aluminum can in your hand.
4. Turn on the tv and watch a movie until you fall asleep
5. Wake up and start fishing around 7am.

You will catch at night. Try the northland glow shots. They work great. Also you may get mud puppies. Good luck.

I`ve never had a hot night bite at Nip, but I have caught fish out there at virtually all times of night. Herring, walleye and burbot and to a lesser degree, perch can all be active at night.

I personally haven't had much luck at night. But I've seen fish caught and for some reason they were much bigger fish. Of course I'm talking about walleye.
Generally by nightfall the beers have caught up to me anyhow

Cheers boys, I'm leaving right now

We usually setup 1/8 jighead with a minnow, and put a bell on the end of the rod. Majority of the time we've woken up to the confusing ding-a-ling-a-ling. Caught many Ling this way. It's definitely hard to get back to sleep though after a big Ling fight. Good luck...
