Geez Shank, didn't think of the toilet seat, I'll take some caution out there. Lol
Hey Chuck, I'm trying... I've armed myself with a glow shot, we'll see how the evening unfolds.
Cheers guys.

Thanks guys. Fishing has been really tough since yesterday. Started off great but down hill since then. I'm not really marking much at all and when I do they're so disinterested in my offerings. I put the windlass up outside and watching the flasher while hugging a northlands forage minnow spoon. Having a great time none the less. I talked to so out the other anglers and they're in the same boat.

Cheers boys.
Kerry

It's discouraging when you aren't even marking, can't catch what's not there. Maybe get a couple holes drilled outside, sometimes the noise from the auger will call in a big pike.

When that happens , swirling some ice in a Bloody Mary works for me

For sure, Maybe stir a drink or light one up, look at the old lady and say "I guess it's just me and you". At any rate the slow times can become the best times.

Funny you say that. Experienced it on Thursday. Drilled my first hole and put a line down. Took a 2 min break then got halfway thru drilling my second hole and my rod jumped off my chair lol. Only a 26incher but still

Absolutely works, I put my line down immediately after drilling a hole.

Things picked up for the evening bite, the walleye came in aggressively from 4:30-600. Had a blast. The morning bite today is slow again. I'll keep at'er and pour another drink.
Cheers

Hey Kerry, hope you're having some success today. You've been a little quite maybe that means you're catching.

If you're still fishing I'm envious, but glad you made it up again.

I got a text from one of my partners in crime Friday saying "I want to go ice fishing again". Told him to come up with something cheap and fast 'cause it's over in a week lol

We've always done 1 trip. Maybe next year...
