Well the article is mostly concerned about water transfer from Huron Basin (Lake Simcoe) to Lake Ontario basin. Seems like it even could not be done without violation of the agreement which Ontario itself fought for and signed.
Will see how they can get out of this situation.
As for “More Poop in Lake O”... well, no one will ever be happy with new sewage plans and more waste water coming to any lake… However, a lot of people stand for faster economic growth, more houses to be built, population growth etc. It all comes for the cost and waste water and sewage is just one part of it.

Waste water is never something we can avoid increasing. What we can do is have it treated properly. Some waste water treatment centres put out cleaner water than the water they are dumping the treated water into.
