Detroit River

well got out on the D this morning. Took a buddy with me that isn't much of a fisherman. Was really windy which makes for hard boat control which is all important in vertical jigging. I got 5 and my buddy did manage to get the 1st one and it was the biggest. I'd have put her back, but he got it and I told him that he was taking it home not me. Anyway there were lots of fish being caught in other boats and from shore. Water clarity was good and it will only get better each day.

This Sunday visibility went from about 0.5 ft at sunrise to about 2 ft at noon by. Fish was biting a bit too. Lasalle area.

Saw your other post as well very nice fish. I can't wait for walleye to open here.

I too fished the “DR” on Tuesday. We Took home 8 perfect eaters (less than 20”), and released 2 big egg laden spawners. Wind was brutal to keep the boat in control,so we called it a day by 1pm. All in all a great day on the River!

sniper, the guys from shore were using white from the looks of it, they were doing pretty good from shore.

we got out yesterday for a while and did okay.........new spot, new tactics and it payed off, but man was it ever windy and visability was about 9 inches
