So, the day after my salmon trip..last Thursday was perfect for fishingErie and wife says...go get some perch.........

I am still tired from the day before but we loaded the boat up and drove to Erie

beautifull day with little to no wind.......RARE and I wanted to try out my new bow mount with spotlock........not dissappointed at all

ran out to a group of boats and set up about 1/2 mile from them and got into decent perch for an hour and a half and then they just shut down....very erratic bite after that.

kept 14 to bring home and 1 big female that could not be release...just kept floating on the surface, so I boxed it

was a great day with a few bass mixed in, no pics and quickly released

can't wait to do it again

A great report Werner and wow what a great wife. My wife never stops me from fishing and is equally good to me to always let me go when ever I want but she has never actually told me to go fishing.

Love the big mama....a great haul and looks like you are eating mighty fine to me.

Electric is the only way to go on perch.

Gotta keep the wife happy 👍🏼. Way to go shank, those are some beauties. What trolling motor did you end up going with?

I wound up getting the MINN KOTA V2 powerdrive 55 pound thrust and remote.no foot pedal

didn't really want or need one

what I like so far is of course the anchor mode feature. also the legacy mode for i pilot

could have made remote a bit easier to use, but perhaps I just need more practise with it

for me the biggest downside so far is the stowing of the unit..could be way easier, but for the price I could not turn it down

running off one 60 lipo battery with a 50 amp fuse block and for the day it drew down to 13,34 from 14,38 so no complaints there at all (got home and charged it in less than 2 hours) with a genious 340 charger/maintainer I already had

still learning about lithium batteries, but so far I am impressed with them
