I just received an email from Navionics saying THE ONE-YEAR SUBSCRIPTION WILL EXPIRE IN A WEEK ON: US & CANADA.
Is this going to change anything significant on my app if I don't renew? will I be able to do all the things I did last season on the app?

Yes it will limit your use...sonar chart option will be disabled and a few other things.

I havent renewed mine in years, I might soon in time for icefishing for updates but since its been so long but, its been fine without it for years. You do lose some options as stated above but also dont receive any updates

Ok good. Sounds like if I donít update I can still use the map to find contours and mark spots. Thatís all I need it for.
Thanks.

maps change.
what i noticed one year was that the map was showing me a dip on the bottom and after digging 10 holes i still failed to find it but then later i do an update and the dip that i was previously trying to pinpoint, was not on the map anymore.

personally i don;t think bottoms could change this much in a matter of weeks but this is my experience. so having the most updated map might save you some work but that said, i chose not to renew either. maybe once in 3 years might be worth it?

Haven't renewed mine in years, the only thing I miss is the ability to send my pins to friends but I just screenshot the coordinates and they can punch them in manually.
