With the ice season coming and covid lingering around I'm looking at booking a few weekends on Nipissing. Are they gonna be able to operate as normal this year? Maybe less people per hut? Gonna be a possibility that they can't operate?

I have been wondering this myself. Spending a weekend with a group of guys from different households in an ice hut seems like the kind of activity that should prob be avoided.
I imagine operators will operate and the guests will have to decide if they want to risk it.
More concerned that we go into a lockdown like in spring and there is no ice fishing allowed at all.

Just booked with SSIC and glad I called now as they were all booked in Jan so got the last 6 man on Feb 4 th weekend. So things appear normal as far as ice bungalows go.Although the guys I go with are in my 10 person "bubble".Will definitely disinfect as soon as we get there though.

I imagine it would be fairly easy to operate but just follow certain precautions. The major risk there is the clients in the hut, which is at there "own risk" in the first place. Or buy a little pop-up shelter and go out on your own! good luck with whatever route ya take. Just my thoughts, hopefully I'm not wrong...
