I believe New Liskeard is now a city and it's name was changed to timiskaming shores. I could be wrong! But, back in the day it was known as Tri Towns which included Hailyberry, Dymond and Liskeard. Also known as the Northern Greenbelt.

This is what Wikipedia has to say about it. Mydogbites is correct about it now being Temiskaming Shores in which New Liskard amalgamated with the town of Haileybury and the township of Dymond in 2004. The city is in the Timiskaming Districk.

Sorry for being naive. Is there an advantage for an area being unorganized township or something?
less laws and permits, less bullshit and red tape, the people that run it are average Joe's like you and me and want to keep prices down because they're paying too

I ended up buying property in shining tree,on which is an unorganized Township,2 acres,a Sand wedge from the boat launch, taxes are just over $500 a year!right off the highway so accessible all year, right near the main ski doo trail, arguably the best fishing and hunting in ontario I'm moving stuff up there this weekend
