can anyone suggest some of the better lakes on the island for bass? largies or smallies. thanks I'm headed up there after civic holiday

Lake Manitou is probably your best bet, launch from Sandfield.

I would have to double down on woodie54 's advise and try Lake Manitou. A big lake and it looks and feels like you are fishing in Georgian Bay. Many quality smallmouth in the 1.5-3.0 .lb class. Good Luck!
