Does anyone know Outfitters and Motels on that lake or in nearby towns?

Thank you.

We went to the area last year and stayed in Iroquois Falls at a rental house. We drove to the trail head every day (100 km one way) and then had the 25 km sled ride in to the lake. It was too much driving and I would not do the trip like that again.

The last time I checked, which was last year, the outfitter that was on the lake (Dunn Right) was no longer operating because of a property issue.

A local hotel closer to the trail head is a good call. Look on-line, you will find one.

We went at the end of March. If you go earlier, you will freeze. That is what the locals I spoke to told us. We still had 3+ feet of ice to auger through. Be prepared to fish in 3-4 feet of water.

Fishing was good. Everyone caught walleye, at least 2-5/day. Nothing huge, but lots of action.
