Anyone fishing this weekend - east side of Simcoe?, looking for shore conditions report

If anyone gets out this weekend, would really appreciate some information about shore/access ice for the east side of Simcoe anywhere from Port Bolster and north. Hoping to get out on Monday for a last shot for perch but will look for another back-up spot if this doesn't work out. Thanks in advance.

YESTERDAY AFTERNOON I FISHED PORT BOLSTER AREA..
GETTING IN AND OUT WITH MY SNOWDOG AT HOMES POINT PARK ..WAS NO PROBLEM..
ICE WAS PRETTY SAFE BUT FISHING WAS SLOW..
I SAW COUPLE OF ATV TRAVELLING WITH FULL SPEED...

Thanks. Looking to get out somewhere for some perch one more time tomorrow. Hoping the shore will hold for a good half day and I'll be over the moon.

Thanks. It was nice to get out on the big lake after so many years. I hadn't fished Simcoe in a few....a completely different monster than fishing smaller lakes that's for sure.

I have family things this weekend or I'd have the boat out jigging for walleye. Oh wait you said Simcoe, It time to start jigging the Detroit River or St Clair R

Lots of ice on Simcoe and further north. I hope when we can't get out on the ice anymore, the melt happens pretty quickly so maybe I can get out for a fish or two in the spring before things get really, really busy and I need to shut down for a while. That is some walleye fishery you have down there. Enjoy....I'm sure you do.

went out tuesday march 30 drove out from centenial park towards thora about three quarters way out in 22 feet of water we set up three of us on a snowdog we drilled 6 holes two each one each for a minnow an one for jigging we didnt catch many dinks a lot of jumbos and a lot of 10s an 11 s we ended up keeping 125 fish between the 3 of us we had around 30 jumbos plus the 10s an 11s
my rod with the minnow on it was about 6 feet in front of me i saw it move a bit so i put down my jigging rod an went to reach for the other rod an suddently it went right down anslid to the hole so fast an down the hole it wenti dont think it was a perch cause it went fast must have been a pike or a walleye or coyuld have been a white fish or a laker or a burbot anyway that was a first for me lost one of my favourite rods wepacked up arounr 6oc lock there was about 2 ft of ice where we were when we got to shore it was pretty slushey the shore line was starting to brake up that was our last trip for this winter and the talbut river was open ann starting to flood over the ice it was a little scarriy i amagine a few people will still be walking out for a while but not me

Sounds like you had a great last day of perching (nice ending for the season). I have to try fishing Simcoe more next year. I do miss the perch fishing (use to do it about 75% of my trips before Muskokan lakers and wf close to home "forced" me to fish for them more) There is something special about fishing Simcoe that makes you want to return though. Wow, seeing the river come up over the ice would be a bit concerning.
