Is it safe to drive a midsize suv on Calendar Bay (Santa Fe).. have not been out this year and and my son is on crutches so can’t walk far. Thanks

Just came off there yesterday about 4 pm. There was other trucks on the ice. 1/2 tons, be careful and do not go too far out. Slush is alive and active out about 1-2 km in the middle. If your close to main launch or the park you should be fine. I didn’t cut a hole to measure ice thickness in the bay but I had 12” where I was. Be safe and good luck fishin

There were a few out off Sunset Point too. I would be real carefully. I dont think I can ever recall the ice being so thin for this time of year. Good luck.

I was on the Perch Flats on Saturday and there's 14' of ice out there. That's 4 miles out from Sunset Park.
