The guy is just doing his job, come on now give your head a shake
Everyone has there opinions. Do you live here? Do you own a small business that has been affected by this idiot? If you do then you must not have mortgage like me! Mr. Chirico makes $300,000 + annually. Im sure this is not going to affect him or his family.

I get your gripes but be realistic. Don't be mad at the person or what salary they make. Guy could make a boatload more in a private practice. Would you pull your huts out on 1 inch of ice and pack it full of paying customers? Cause in a sense that's what you're asking him to do. You know the recipe for success in your business, these people are going off no playbook. Every person you deal with thanks you or they should. Noone thanks these people, but they keep infectious diseases out of our country every day of the year.
Do I live there no but I have a place there Do I have a small business yes but it hasn't been affected like yours has. I also have a corporate job.
How many people you know that have had covid? I know alot How many people has your family buried because of covid? Hasn't affected you guys much up north. Be thankful

The thing is this health unit seems to be applying the rules differently. 24 active cases in the health unit = lockdown and stay home. Simcoe-Muskoka = 617 active cases with 150 positive for the variants = move to red and rescind stay home. Sure Simcoe Muskoka has more people but they don't have 25x more people - not even close.
The only reason Nip is still stay home order is because wing ding doctor has requested it. If the criteria applied everywhere else were used it would be orange or even green. Buddy closed all the OFSC trails - nowhere else did this. Grey, Bruce, Wellington, Dufferin, Simcoe, Muskoka - all worse numbers and in the case of Wellington significantly worse - yet some how their trails stayed open.
The rules need to be consistent and fair and not subject to the whims of one person regardless of whether they are are a doctor or not.

I'd be willing to wire ssic a couple hundred bucks if he needs to keep his house no questions asked and no expectations of anything in return. Let's keep this a fishing board please. Stating opinions on covid is useless and splits the people in too many ways than one.

Hello Cara Lee, As much as I am looking forward to having a chance to come up and spend a couple days ice fishing things have changed. I don’t want to have to back out at the last minute because of the rules. Three in my group come from different households . I want you to have the ability to rent out our spot if the rules dictate. Leave this as long as you can but make sure you get the best chance to rent out our time slot. The 200 deposit is yours regardless of the outcome. Yes I still want to come your way…..Hope this puts a smile on your face. Cheers

The whole situation is bs. Lost faith in the Government and health experts along time ago, if only they could stop lying.
You and me both brother! OP, sorry to hear about your season. This is some first rate BS. My county has 2 cases, just 2. And our businesses are getting crushed, and now mercifully being allowed to open on a limited basis. BS.

Exactly, classic case of punishing everyone for the crimes of a few. We need leaders that are willing do the right thing based on the numbers in their area, not what they think may happen if people show up from other areas. They have no balls

You have the right people at the helm: graphic designer for health minister, drama teacher for the head of the gang. Every nation has the kind of leaders what they deserve!!! (voted in!)

Just enquiring if SSIC applied and took the Covid Relief Fund for Small Business? The Gov't offered $40k then increased it an extra $20k with the payback pushed to Dec 31, 2022.
It would help with your expenses this year. If you qualified for the 60k you only have to pay back 40k.
