I did not venture out on the lake today, just looked out the window and kept the fire stoked, lazy day. From what I can see out there is areas where the slush rose up to the top and a layer of ice forming. It’s supposed to go to -20 tonight which should create a layer thick enough to run a snowmobile on where exposed. The problem is the slush covered by the snow won’t freeze. Too bad it didn’t stay warm for another day, it would have worked out better.

Nice. I did the exact same thing with a little whiskey thrown in for COVID protection.
