Hey all!
First post on this forum and looking for any tips anyone has to offer on a west arm trip we are taking June 3-5th. Couple of packed days of fishing for pike and walleye and looking for any information anyone can offer for this time of year up there. I’ve never fished that far north this early and I’m curious if anyone has fished this time of year and looking for general info of where they found fish ie depths, water temps they found fish in, structure that produced well etc. Have about 500 lures I’m bringing so feel confident something will produce just don’t want to waste time washing them all so any information for both species would be super appreciated!
Staying at Mashkinoje Lodge for reference!
Jonny

Welcome to the forum Jonnyboy.
Sorry I do not have any experience fishing the west arm but if you use the search function of the forum you might find the info you are looking for. It seems to default to the last 30 days so be sure to change that to get older data.

Was in that area a few years back, and the fishing was decent, Helps if you can afford to use a guide at least one day. One thing I will not forget is that a lot of people were doing damage to their props and lower units. we were lucky ourselves, no damage to our boat or our pride. Use a map and look out for rocks. PS we were there in the fall, water levels may have been lower then. Good Luck

Actually water levels are probably around fall levels currently. Not much rain up here this spring. The lake declined 0.63" in the last week as well. There is always prop busters in Lake Nipissing and that will be worse with the lower level.

Water levels make a huge difference, we were there early June a couple of years ago when everything was flooded. All of the docks were underwater. The only place we found pike was in bays with pads. Which were few and far between. We didn't target walleye much, but when we did, we picked up a few near the bridges in the flow.

Just head out to any small bay you’ll find pike but if you head out to the markers just a little bit farther in the lake there’s muskuy mostly in fall but?? And yes west Nipissing is a rock garden
