Nice catch Black Crowe. You got the drift socks out and the fish finders dialed in, or you trolling ?

Pure jigging with a variety of baits. No drift sock, although I think that would be a great addition. Currently I am using the spot lock on the minnkota Ulterra. It works okay, but drifts a bit in heavy wind.

The Humminbird Helix is a dream to use... look for the fish, and video game them to bite. Technology has really changed the way I fish for the better!

Now just looking to catch a giant one! Haha!

Good going Black Crowe. I share your enthusiasm on the open water lakers this year on Simcoe. I have just recently felt the same success and man o man is it ever sweet.
What's the biggest you have boated so far?

Now just looking to catch a "giant one".

I believe you have just caught a "giant two." Nice going. Fine looking trout.

Thanks! I really wish I had been logging at least the lengths, and the weights would have been nice too. Need to get a bump board to make quick work of it. We measured the smaller of the above 2 and it was 32Ē. The biggest one so far was much much bigger, but was so excited I just wanted to release.

Will try to remember to get some measurements going forward.

Went out today and hit another couple... missed and lost about 6. Brain fart central today, and was just not sharp on nailing them.

No complaints! Iím still as happy a Simcoe fisherman as youíll find!
😁
