It was a fun day and good to be out with two good fishing buddies. Used two baits all day: a squarebill and a Neko rig and the fish were smacking them!

You guys nailed it.....after a summer of busy lakes the quiet ones are the trophy. Nice catch.

It was indeed a great day. When we arrived there was a morning mist hanging around the lake surface. Cool enough overnite to bring the temp down to below the water temp---yep, fall is on its way. It soon burned off so that we had a flat calm lake in the bright sunshine. Great to experience but not so great for bass. After an hr or so a little breeze picked up. MK got 2-3 keepers before lunch but I was still hoping. At lunch I changed to my go to lure----a white Big O-----and hooked a nice big wiley fish ----less than a minute after starting trolling. I used wacky rigged Senkos of different colors on my other rod
