Got out on Saturday after the winds finally died down a bit, but it was still choppy out there on the big lake. After washing about a dozen lures in the morning things turned for the better in the afternoon. Went 2 for 3 and got a couple decent ones. Wife took advantage of the free fishing week and reeled them in as I cleared lines and attempted to net the fish.

Returned on Sunday as the water was calm, to the same area using the same lures and not even one hit. Changed several colours and nothing.

Nice catch! Was out Monday am and Tuesday am and didn't get any hits, but marked lots. Seems when they are hungry they go, when not does not seem to matter what you throw at them. Patience is the name of the game.

Nice haul. I am doing everything myself, anything fishing-related is totally ignored by my wife.

very nice. my wife actually bought a day pass earlier in the spring and was going to go last sunday for free fishing week, but we were talking to some friends and the son inlaw mentioned he'd like to try fishing. Wife jumped on that and I was fishing with the son inlaw, go figure. Maybe I will get her out on the weekend.
